(B)(N) VimpelCom et al (NASDAQ 100)

July 11, 2015
How much would you like today?

Leaving so soon?

Drama. Investors have given us a +250% capital gain on just five stocks in the NASDAQ 100 as they rushed for the cash window this year and took back nearly $40 billion of the more than $80 billion that they had laboriously “positioned” in these stocks since 2012; please see Exhibit 1 below.

The only one that we’re still holding is VimpelCom Limited but, of course, we’re wondering that if the other four companies were “good for it” in December and the last four years, maybe they’ll be good for it again (New York Times, July 14, 2015, Micron Technology Is Said to Be Takeover Target of Chinese Company)?

And we miss these guys, the investors and their “volatility” and their money (please see our recent Post “(B)(N) PCYC Pharmacyclics Incorporated“) and undoubtedly they’ll be back, but when?

For some insight that doesn’t depend on the Greek Debt/Euro “Crisis” or the Federal Funds Rate, please see Exhibit 1 below (and click on it and again to make it larger as required).
